OREE K Series Servo System in Woodworking Engraving Machin
 

I.Introduction
Woodworking engraving machine is a kind of mechanical engraving machine, which is used in furniture decoration, musical instrument industry, wooden handicraft industry, large area planar engraving, solid wood furniture, solid wood art murals, cabinet windows and doors, screen engraving, etc.
The woodcarving machine is composed of three parts: computer, woodcarving machine controller and woodcarving machine mainframe. Working Principle: Graphic files are converted into signals that can control the action of processing machinery by special engraving software configurated in the computer, and information transmitted to the controller of woodcarving machine. Then the controller converts these information into signals to drive the motor (position command pulse train), and controls the motion of the generating shaft of woodcarving machine.
 
II. Technical Requirements
The system consists of four sets of two-axis servo drivers and servo motors and a machine, eight sets of spindle inverters and motors, and a computer control system as follows:

 
Axis function:
X and Y axis: horizontal linear motion, direct connection between motor and screw rod;
Z axis: vertical motion, motor with brake and directly connected with screw;
A axis: Eight reducers in series, driving wood to rotate, turning over to the other side after finishing one face, and continuing processing. Three-dimensional processing can be completed with other three axis.

 
III.System Construction
The servo driver works in position mode. The upper computer sends position instructions to the servo driver through the pulse control card. The servo driver drives the motor to run according to the given command signal.

2. Relevant parameter settings:
The position, speed and current can be observed by the upper computer, so that the waveform of instruction and feedback can be observed truly, which is convenient for users to debug and apply.
(1) Speed gain adjustment
For instructions from the upper system, the driver should drive the motor as timely and accurately as possible. In order to make the motor move closer to the instruction, gain adjustment is carried out.
(2) Electronic gear ratio setting
Take Z-axis as an example, after moving upward to the target value of 10_, the tape measure the actual value. The reciprocal of the ratio of the target value to the actual value is the electronic gear ratio.
(3) Position gain adjustment
In general, the default position loop gain can meet the needs of the engraving machine. If the engraving quality is not smooth, the position instruction filter can be added.
IV. Application and Debugging of OREE Servo System
OREE K series servo supports two-axis drive, up to 23 bits absolute value encoder, built-in multiple bus interfaces, with the advantages of fast response, precise positioning, short setting time, smooth operation, etc. When high-speed processing, the whole machine is basically vibration-free, no burrs and knife marks after processing, and the shape of the carving is clear and accurate.
